Intel launches new campaign amid new competitive threat

Intel Corp is conducting an advertising campaign through the television and print media showing the inside of a microcomputer to emphasize the quality of the processors in addition to their upgradability and power. The advertisements are aired in CNN and published in BusinessWeek, Fortune, PC Week, Computerworld and National Geographic. Intel also released news on its plan to manufacture PCs that will save energy through new chips that will put PCs on sleep mode when not used.

Unmistakably Intel; the insider's microprocessor maker

Intel Corp used high technology wizardry for its 30-second television advertisement for the Intel486 microprocessor chip. The state-of-the-sart special effects were created by Lucas Art's Light and Magic Co. The print version also highlighted the unique Intel chip and even offered customers a free brochure on how to maximize windowing software. Dahlin Smith White of Salt Lake City, UT, executed the ad campaign.
