International and foreign bond markets
Article Abstract:
Total external bond offerings from Jan. to Apr. 1995 has declined from the level during the same period in 1994. Primary offerings during the four-month period added up to only $130.8 billion as against the previous year's $154.5 billion. The Jan.-Apr. 1995 level also decreased from issuing activity in the last three months of 1994. While banks remained the top issuers of external bonds, offerings from members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development continued to dominate the international and foreign bond markets.

International bond markets
Article Abstract:
The rising volume of new issues of euro-dollar bonds, the continuing influence of swap windows, issuance by domestic banks and mortgage bond market internationalization and the growing interest of Japanese retail investors in global bonds spurred international bond offerings which reached $226B from Jan-Apr 1996. A hike in the US dollar, deutsche mark and pound sterling denominated notes also caused an increase in international issues of floating rate notes which reached $48 billion from $19.9 during the same period in 1995.
