Investors left counting the cost of Crest
Article Abstract:
Crest is an electronic stock settlement system which has been launched in the United Kingdom and which has been blamed for rises in dealing charges. Brokers which have increased commissions include James Brearley, YorkShare and Robson Cotterill. Brokers claim that Crest involves more administration, and the fee level of network providers is also a problem for brokers. Private investors are hit by the increase in dealing costs whoever is to blame for the rise.
