JSF price jump stems from general inflation, not program costs
Article Abstract:
An abrupt rise in the cost of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) stems from a routine inflation adjustment and it is not a sign that the JSF program costs are spiraling out of control. The JSF is estimated to increase by $11.8 billion, which does not stem from rising JSF program, rather it reflects the general inflation in the economy that involves soaring energy commodities and other prices.
