JTRS restructuring aimed at better supporting FCS, contractors say

The US Army's massive Future Combat Systems (FCS) program continues to depend on the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) technologies, despite a warning from the Pentagon stating that it might terminate the radio program. Boeing Co. and Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) act jointly to develop a lead systems integrator program for FCS aimed at developing and fielding a complex system of systems consisting of manned and unmanned air and ground vehicles and other components.

Touting American content, US101 names 11 US suppliers
Article Abstract:
The industry consortium called Team US101 named 11 suppliers across the southeastern US for the US101 helicopter on September 30, 2004. Led by a Lockheed Martin Corp. unit, Team US101 is offering a modified UK/Italian EH101 transport helo to be the next-generation presidential transport chopper in a Marine One competition known as VXX.
