Koprivnice and Dura confirm a contract
Article Abstract:
Dura Automotive Systems (DAS) (UK), automotive component manufacturer, will start the construction of a new plant in the Czech Republic in Sep 2001. The investment costs on the project will amount to several hundreds of millions of Czech crowns. DAS has bought land with an area of 10 ha for the construction in the industrial zone from the city of Koprivnice, the Czech Republic. Automotive components from the plant will be intended mainly for the European market. The plant should have nearly 800 employees in the final stage.

The British will build a plant worth CEK 0.5 bil in Zlin
Article Abstract:
Andreas Quellmalz (AQ) (UK), automotive component manufacturer, will build a new plant in the industrial zone in Zlin, the Czech Republic. The investment costs on the project should be USD 16 mil, more than CEK 630 mil. The plant should have 200 employees after its completion. AQ's consumers are Invensys, Valeo, Visteon and CTS, among others. CTS is involved in the research and manufacturing of components for the automotive industry and is also weighing its investment in the Czech Republic.

Senior will build a plant in Olomouc

Senior Flexonics (UK), manufacturer of thin-walled pipes for the automotive industry, will build a new plant in Olomouc, the Czech Republic. Th investment costs on the construction of the plant should be about CEK 190 mil. The new plant will have about 200 employees after its completion.
