Lockheed, Raytheon win Australian Naval deals

The US's two major defense contractors that include Lockheed Martin Corporation and Raytheon Company have decided to support Australian naval programs with separate initiatives in 2006. Lockheed Martin Corporation stated that its Australian entity, Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA) and Computer Sciences Corp.'s Australian operation have agreed to implement the Aegis Open Architecture (AOA) solution for Australia's Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) program.

Lockheed long-range radar: 'Very active product line,' exec says

Lockheed Martin Corp. in 2006 continues to roll out upgrades to its AN/FPS-117 and AN/TPS-77 long-radar systems, with potential to sell 30 to 40 more of those units. The contractor has installed 145 of the AN/FPS-117 and An/TPS-77 radars worldwide.
