Bill Morrisson is the current Chairman of the Auditing Practices Board (APB) and a deputy senior partner at KPMG Peat Marwick. These include his crusade for the creation of a single British Insitute of Chartered Accountants that would include the English, Welsh and Scottish sectors, consolidation of his firm Thomson McLintock and Peats, exclusive acceptance of graduates at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland and collaborating on the Likierman report on professional liability. Known for his resiliency and deep commitment, Morrisson took up the role of APB Chairman at a time when auditing was losing public esteem but has successfully managed the regulatory body.
