Micro Focus
Article Abstract:
Micro Focus is a software and services company which focuses on clients with mainframe computers needing to update their systems. The company has a large market of clients preferring to upgrade rather than scrap systems, and sales are forecast to rise by between 20% and 25% in the 12 months to April 1999, according to Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. Micro Focus acquired Intersolv in Jun 1998, an acquisition which has brought in development tools geared to newer operations. There has been some concern that the company's orders could be affected by the end of Year 2000 transition work, but demand will also come from European monetary union.
