Monitoring social change

Article Abstract:

The International Research Institute for Social Change (RISC) was formed to constantly monitor and evaluate social change scientifically. The RISC believes that socio-cultural research is important because it helps distinguish between different market segments and targets and helps give a better understanding of consumer behavior. Since 1988, the agency has been undertaking historical studies of sociological theories so it can develop models which combine different qualitative methodologies and prevent social research from being excessively reductive.
