Moving training to the strategic level with learning requirements planning
Article Abstract:
The Learning Requirements Plan is a formal, organization-wide training strategy model. The model starts with the gathering of information about the types of learning required within an organization by conducting both internal and external competition analysis. This step is followed by the identification of skills existing with each employee and department. The types of information required by an organization can be addressed by several methods such as the memorization of facts and physical manipulation of objects. The model ends with the evaluation of the impact of learning.
