The influence of VDT work on musculoskeletal disorders
Article Abstract:
A study of the musculoskeletal systems of 353 professional users of visual display terminals (VDT) revealed no major correlations between terminal use and the occurrence of muscular problems in the subjects. However, factors including limited recess time, repetitive movements and the presence of specular glare have the potential to cause extensive muscle disorders in people overexposed to VDT.
