National Re leapfrogs soft p/c reinsurance market
Article Abstract:
Property and casualty insurer National Re Holding Corp (NRE) exhibited a stock downshift after a remarkable performance during its Jan 1992 initial public offering. The recent damaging riot in Los Angeles, California, additional charges imposed on NRE stocks, the company's conservative approach in the market, and a previous debt to be paid caused the decline in the investment growth of the company. However, NRE is expected to prevail because of its distinct features; namely, its target choice of insurers, a stress on casualty risks and an impeccable management record.
