The Internet is boosting business-to-business marketing overseas. Companies and advertising agencies are increasingly using the Internet as a marketing communications tool. In fact, the advent of the Internet has eliminated trade barriers that make it easier for businesses to conduct global transactions. Firms are also putting more emphasis on brand quality and customer loyalty. However, there are potential problems with business-to-business marketing on the Internet like searching for the right marketing medium and local resistance to the political and commercial status of multinational firms.

3M Co. has discovered that on-floor advertising is an innovative alternative for companies. They have offered on-floor advertising to retail stores. The graphics stand as the store's advertisement for the merchandise it carries. These ads can reach up to six square feet, are stuck to floors and do not leave sticky residues when removed. Sales of clients who used on-floor advertising have risen. 3D plans to offer these graphics to the automotive industry and department stores.
