CFS supplies software for leased asset management and acquired two major developers of lease management software in 1998. Leasetek was acquired in Jul 1998 for 9.9 million pounds sterling, and Financial Systems of Australia was then acquired for 1.5 million pounds. Meanwhile, CFS has sold its consumer finance division. The company could achieve a profit of 2.6 million pounds sterling for 1999. CFS is in a strong position in a niche market where it is an international player.

Acquisitive DCS gets its teeth into CSI

DCS is a UK software company which acquired Computer Services for Industry in Jun 1995. The company was previously overdependent on the automobile industry, accounting for some 80% of sales. The acquisition of CSI allows DCS to diversify into warehousing and distribution and general services like outsourcing.
