New technology tests the belief of investors
Article Abstract:
Changes affecting the market for new technology stocks have meant that the British techMARK index has dropped to 4,008 from 4,723, and Eyretel has had to reduce its issue price. Changes in technology mean that some stocks are difficult to value. The companies and technologies likely to have long term success cannot easily be predicted and companies are being launched on the stock market at early stages in their career, so it is more difficult to predict what their earnings will be.
