Next missile test in December, MDA's obering says

Lt. Gen. Henry 'Trey' Obering, MDA director, announced that the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has planned to conduct its flight test in early December 2004 and he clarified the criticisms against missile defense programs. The main aim of the test is to be an attempt to achieve a successful flight both of the booster and the kill vehicle.

PAC-3 missiles hit ballistic missile, cruise missile in simultaneous test

Lockheed Martin announced that its Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missiles destroyed an incoming tactical ballistic missile and a low-altitude cruise missile in a dual test at White Sands Missile Range. The PAC-3 Missile destroys an incoming target with kinetic energy instead of with an explosive warhead.
