Is 365 worth 365m?
Article Abstract:
Values of companies were once seen as equivalent to their sales, and this has changed to the extent that internet companies may be valued at 300 times sales. One company with a high valuation is 365 Corporation. The company has 200 employees, and provides websites for people with special interests such as soccer, in three different languages. The company has not made a profit though it has income from commissions, advertising, sponsorship and contract publishing. The valuation implies growth at levels that may be overoptimistic.

eBaygum - I don't think so
Article Abstract:
There is a need to be cautious about internet stocks, as is shown by the case of eBay. This company has been successful in popularising the idea of internet auctions, but its success can be exaggerated, and there is little scope for expansion since it is linked to local markets. The company's $17 billion market capitalization appears to be unduly optimistic. There is a future for internet stocks, and they may not suffer more than stocks as a whole in the event of a correction, but investors should be prudent.

No use worrying - uncertainty's the name of the game
Article Abstract:
There is uncertainty relating to technology and internet stocks, and this is normal at a particular phase of growth, when technological change has accelerated. No-one is able to assess how companies should be valued, especially people from the companies concerned. Meanwile there has been a boom in day trading, and central bankers, regulators and other have warned that it could lead to problems. There have been changes in the securities industry in the past, and clothing has become less important, while technical analysis has become more important.
