OFR: A missed opportunity
Article Abstract:
The Operating and Financial Review (OFR) requirements were finalized after a long period of consultation, and though the much of the legal requirements were dropped during the consultations, it is still confusing, least simplified, and lacks clarity. From a company's point of view, it needs to decide whether to adopt the Accounting Standards Board's reporting standard, reissued as the source of best practice, or to cope to the lesser requirements of the European accounts modernization directive.
