Europe's laggard narrows the gap
Article Abstract:
Germany's growth rate has been slow, but it is improving with the recovery of the world growth rate. An improvement in German growth rates implies convergence in the euro-zone, and this should help monetary policy, though it may not help investors. Diversification could become more difficult if there is convergence between the different economies in Europe, such as the Spanish and German economies. There is also an expectation that inflation rates will converge in Europe.
