Partnerships in African crop biotech
Article Abstract:
The contribution made by the food-crop biotech partnership projects in the Sub-Saharan dessert in reaching the goals of United Nations' millennium development goals (MDGs) in eradicating extreme poverty and hunger are examined. It was found that the efforts are not end-user oriented but supply driven, limited in scope, and no devoted efforts are made to find better ways that affect food production and hunger.
