Payment system needs of corporations
Article Abstract:
Cash management services offered by banking institutions to corporate customers are analyzed from the standpoint of the corporations. Although automated cash management systems that are efficient and effective when disbursing or concentrating corporate reserves are available from banks, these services are no longer free of charge. Cost of the service has become the most important factor related to use of payment systems for the corporate banking client. The second most important factor is timely information on accounts to reduce risk. These two factors are discussed in detail, in an analysis of the corporate banking customer's view on payment systems offered by banking institutions.

The role of the Bank of Canada in the Canadian payments system
Article Abstract:
Depending on the domestic payments systems being examined, the central bank's policy will vary. Only six banks are responsible for roughly 90 percent of Canadian bank deposits, and these six use domestic communications carriers to manage branch banking for customers. The Bank of Canada is responsible for the payment system in Canada under the Canadian Payments Association Act of 1980.
