Persimmon
Article Abstract:
Persimmon is a United Kingdom housebuilder which has seen a drop in its stock price, although the industry is not affected by a recession. Activity has slowed in south east England, but is growing elsewhere. The company has a large land bank and should benefit from a drop in UK interest rates. Growth may slow in 1999 but the company could achieve a growth in pre-tax profit of 11% for that year compared to 21% for 1998. Interest rate cuts are likely to continue and be beneficial, though they will take some time to benefit the sector.

Persimmon
Article Abstract:
Persimmon should benefit from its geographical spread, as demand for housing in the southeast of England eases, and from its large landbank, though there is a risk of a drop in land prices.
