A suite for the chief accountant
Article Abstract:
The Shortlands' Imperial Gold suite runs on the UNIX, Novell netware and MS-DOS operating system. It is a complete multi-currency, multi-company accounting system with such features as a cash book and general ledger. The Imperial Gold system is well-designed to meet the needs of any chief accountant. It has many positive attributes, and has a name and password utility to ward against any unauthorized use, but it has some drawbacks, such as its colorless displays and COBOL-like programming features.

Your tax procedures automated
Article Abstract:
The 1,950 pounds sterling PerTAX single-user tax accounting software package from Paxus Professional Office Systems Ltd is suitable for any accounting practices, and can run on a range of IBM personal computers. Menu-driven PerTAX guides the user through its various options, and provides some help screens. The main power of PerTAX is found in its ability to employ the database of clients, prepare tax returns, and make computations. The system is not easy for data preparation staff to use, however.
