Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) and Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (ICAS) are the six major accountancy institutes in the United Kingdom. ICAEW has the largest number of members whereas CIPFA is the most influential in the government.
