Professional versus generic retail services: new insights
Article Abstract:
The factors affecting consumers' external search and evaluation activities for professional and generic retail services are studied. Results show that gender, age, education and income influence the length of the search activity and the number of information sources used. Gender is the strongest determinant of consumer behavior with females spending more time searching and evaluating services.
