Protozoan genomics for drug discovery
Article Abstract:
A study on the issues of complete genome sequences of five important protozoan parasites, which include two species of Theileria and three members of phylum Kinetoplastida, is presented. A comparative study of the genomes of these and other parasites promises to elucidate the biology of many devastating tropical diseases and help identify parasite-specific targets for drug development.

Shifting emphasis from pharmacogenomics to theragnostics
Article Abstract:
The use of theragnostics in biomarker research as against pharmacogenomics is described. It is strongly felt that theragnostics may help in the synthesis of different types of biomarker data, DNS, protein or metabolomic-based to get individualized therapeutics in medicine.

An integrates approach to prognosis using protein microarrays and nonparametric methods
Article Abstract:
An integrated approach to the problem of prognosis that uses protein microarrays and non-parametric methods is reported. Molecular markers are not uniformly prognostic but vary in their value depending on a combination of clinical variables.
