Purses and portfolios
Article Abstract:
Women represent the fastest growing segment of the financial services market. The presence of women in the work force, and their increased control over their financial futures has led to a growing demand for credit card services, investment planning, and retirement accounts by women. Many financial services companies, such as MasterCard, have made a point of targeting women in their advertising campaigns, but the message and the products of these companies do not differentiate between men and women. Magazines have been an especially important medium for marketing financial services to women, and the editorial departments of women's magazines are paying more attention to financial matters.
