Reliability of driving behaviour inventory
Article Abstract:
The driving behaviour inventory was developed to assess the extent of stress drivers experience. Parameters such as attitudes, anxiety and aggression, human factors in accidents and decision-making styles were used in the survey. Sixty one respondents were involved in the study in the course of five months. The results of the study would be advantageous not only to drivers who ride daily to work, but also for whom driving is a profession. It also has potential use for driving educators, counsellors, therapists, safety engineers, psychologists and automobile ergonomists.

Human occupational and performance limits under stress: the thermal environment as a prototypical example
Article Abstract:
The effect of heat stress exposure on performance productivity was investigated in relation to industrial safety and health. A criterion of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health recommendations in 1986 mandated the protection of workers against heat-induced illness and unsafe acts. Modification in behavioral performance efficiency was the most significant manifestation of human reaction to stress. A maximal adaptability model was developed for the management of occupational stress exposure, particularly heat stress.

Physiological deactivation after two contrasting tasks at a video display terminal: learning vs repetitive data entry
Article Abstract:
The physiological and psychological problems caused by video display terminal (VDT) were studied. Repetitive data entry task was connected with boredom, annoyance and unpleasantness. Learning task is linked with alertness, interest and ability to focus. Thirty non-smoking male students were involved in the study. Work stress related with computerization may have little effect during work hours but exact a physical price afterwards. Pay incentive schedules and micro rest interruptions can alleviate stress effects of VDT work.
