Right idea - but the wrong reasons
Article Abstract:
Stock prices dropped in late 1997, and some analysts would argue that a study of valuations would have provided a warning that this was going to happen. There are a number of valuation measures, and many of these would have given a message to sell prior to the fall. They would also, however, have given a sell message prior to a rally in stocks, and investors would have missed price rises if they had sold purely on the basis of valuations.
