Rumsfeld transformation plan would harm defense industry: Analyst

U.S. Defense Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld's decision to terminate several defense acquisition programs is questioned by Lexington Institute's Loren Thompson who believes that this would harm the defense contracting sector but more importantly, diminish future war fighting capability. The issue is taken with the Rumsfeld argument that newer systems are needed to replace obsolete Cold War weapons machinery.
