Sales of one-time-use cameras on the rise
Article Abstract:
The sales of one-time-use cameras are on the rise. According to the 2000 PMA Consumer Photographic Survey, 62.2% of households indicated having used a one-time camera in 1999, up from 53.0% of responding households in 1996. The most common point of purchase for one-time-use cameras are discount stores. The survey found that 31.3% of all cameras bought in the 12 months before the survey werre bought at a discount store. For 17.5% of the cameras purchased, their point of purchase was supermarkets.

Digital camera sales growing exponentially each year
Article Abstract:
Sales of digital cameras have exponentially increased each year since their introduction in 1996. In 1999, sales reached more than two million, while in 2000, they are projected to reach 4.4 million units. It also notable that more people are buying better quality digital camaeras. As the resolution of digital cameras has increased, more consumers are purchasing digital cameras with higher resolution.
