Screen test - what's new in software
Article Abstract:
The UK market for investment software has tended not to offer UK consumers with products as good as those sold in the US. The UK is a smaller market and a smaller proportion of the UK population is interested in investment software. Graphic facilities tend to be weak for UK products. UK software developers are seeking to catch up with their US counterparts as is shown by a number of new releases in the UK from companies such as Synergy and Updata.

Article Abstract:
Investment software can perform a number of tasks such as charting and updating of prices. Updata Software is a UK software house which has been a pioneer in the production of investment software using Windows. Updata Invest is a product which uses data provided free through teletext, and this allows prices to be updated. Investors can build up a database by using this product, though there is not a wide range of tools for technical analysis.
