British Shoe Corporation reported a drop in profit to 7.5 million pounds from 38.1 million pounds linked to Dolcis' poor performance. Women's fashion was down by 28% at 16.5 million pounds. The department store, Selfridges, and Adams childrens' clothes both saw a rise in profit. The group's profit is forecast at 112 million pounds sterling by BZW.
