Seiko Kinetic Auto Relay debuts
Article Abstract:
Seiko Corp introduced the new Seiko Kinetic Auto Relay, which does not need a battery and instead relies on user's every movement for its power. The power reserve of Auto Relay will store energy for up to years if the consumer takes the watch off or stops moving. If unused for three days, the watch also shifts into power save mode to conserve energy. The watch hands stop moving during three unused days, while time is computed internally.

Japan's economic advance into China: meeting of Asia's two giants
Article Abstract:
Japan has become increasingly involved with China in business and industry since 1993. It currently has more foreign direct investment (FDI) in China than anywhere else in the world. Japanese business enterprises find it difficult to gel with Chinese society but are using FDI to help forge new relationships between trading partners. The two countries will continue to work closely together into the next millennium.
