An assumption made about a business process if is never articulated or recognized, then it is never challenged and hence it is believed that scepticism of accepted wisdoms is crucial for success. Identifying the company leader and persuading him or her to explain exactly how the organization really works is one of the important techniques for detecting the unspoken assumption.
