Shrinkage and psychophysical load ratings in self-paced and force-paced lifting work and during recovery
Article Abstract:
A study on the effects of load on the human spine during force-paced and self-paced lifting work and rest was conducted on five women and five men who performed four lifts per minute for thirty minutes per day. A thirty minute rest period was taken afterwards. Height measurements were taken after the thirty minute work period and after thirty minutes of rest. There were no significant differences in height loss and gain for men and women.
