Article Abstract:
Francis Edward Worsley will be the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 1989. Worsley believes his major challenges will center around the proposal to join the ICAEW and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland into an Institute of Chartered Accountants of Great Britain. Other challenges will come from the Dearing Committee report, setting standards, and the Eighth Directive requirement that the Institute authorize firms to audit.
