Space technology as a factor of international stabilization and destabilization
Article Abstract:
Space technology can be applied both for civil and military purposes, and it can have either a stabilizing and destabilizing impact on international security. Iraq is an example of a nation utilizing space technology destabilizing international peace. The leading space powers feel that an increase in international cooperation and spread of space technology will prevent the proliferation of confrontational technology. The onus rests on space technology suppliers to make sure that they are lending their support to peaceful goals in the space programs of customer nations.

Development and imperialism in space
Article Abstract:
Permanent planetary bases, settlements and human colonies beyond the confines of the Earth's orbit seem possible but difficult. However, in case of economically valuable resources beyond the Earth, a highly unlikely scenario, space expansionism seems a distinct possibility. Global economic and political developments indicate that advanced Solar System development, if attained, is likely to be conducted in an imperialistic manner.
