Strategic positioning, human capital, and performance in service organizations: a customer interaction approach
Article Abstract:
A customer interaction approach was employed in a study to examine how service organizations strategic positioning relates to their human capital, and how the interaction between strategic positioning and human capital impacts organizational performance. Results from 234 service organizations in 96 different industries indicated very strong relationship of strategic positioning choices and human capital.

Strategic supply chain management: improving performance through a culture of competitiveness and knowledge development
Article Abstract:
The influence of culture of competitiveness (CC) and knowledge development (KD) on supply chain performance is studied in a sample of 201 manufacturing firms. Findings suggest that firms might benefit from building CC first, and that synergies between CC and KD improve performance. Both CC and KD are critical for firms unable to predict the degree of market turbulence.
