Strengths and weaknesses of RSI
Article Abstract:
The share price of Next can be analysed using graphs to assess the Relative Strength Index (RSI). This method uses a representation of a given number of days of the share's performance and assess rises in the share price compared to falls. The RSI moves up when share price rises have greater strength than share price drops. This measure reflects the confidence of investors and can be useful for investors, though it is not infallible. Four RSI signals can be detected by examining the share price of Next in the first nine months of 1996.

Don't put your shirt on it
Article Abstract:
Ted Baker is a United Kingdom shirt designer which is carrying out a stock issue. The issue will bring little new money since company insiders are selling stakes which will account for most of the funds raised. The company has stated that it is floating to boost its status in the US and Europe but this is not compelling since the UK accounts for most of sales over the short term. The company may achieve strong enough growth to justify the stock price but if this is so the founder has little reason to sell.
