Strong growth from Radius undervalued

Radius is a software company and printing and retailing account for some 40% of the company's sales. The company is a leader in the UK market for print management systems. Radius is also building up its accountancy activities and has acquired ITT Professional which has been merged with its own activities. The company's profit record is affected by lumpy orders. Radius' profit is forecast at 2.1 million pounds sterling for 1996 rising to 2.4 million pounds for 1997 by Credit Lyonnais Laing.

SEP Industrials makes and sells nuts and bolts wholesale, and also includes Quintech Computer Services, a supplier of software acquired with Jaton, a fasteners distributor in 1993. Quintech has since seen rapid growth and is to be demerged in fall 1998. SEP's other activities have recovery potential and include Component Logistics which supplies industrial components. SEP could achieve a profit of 3.6 million pounds sterling for 1998 to 1999 excluding the contribution of Quintech.
