TAC turns retailers into tech whizzies

Technology Advancement Corp. (TAC) is an Ogden, UT-based firm which provides nationwide, in-store training to help computer equipment sales personnel become more knowledgeable about the products they are selling. Founded in 1988 by Alan Hall, TAC has grown to become a major player which counts giant firms such as IBM, Novell and Microsoft Corp. among its clients. TAC's clients have benefitted immensely from its services and they have found that marketing personnel become much more effective when they have a sophisticated knowledge of the products they sell.

Doctors call for advice; firm markets legal hotline
Article Abstract:
Law firm Parsons, Davies, Kinghorn and Peters has come up with an attractive legal package for its physician-clients. The firm provides physicians with two hours of free legal advice through a program called The Physicians' Legal Hotline. Through this service, it expects to expand its hold on a niche market that has never been easy for law firms to control. The service is basically preventive in character in the sense that it dispenses advice to physicians prior to any decisionmaking that they may have to undertake.
