Tax Faculty breaks new ground
Article Abstract:
The Faculty of Taxation, launched in Mar 1991, issues each member with a technical newsletter called 'Taxline.' The newsletter aims to cover tax accounting subjects not covered by other specialist tax publications. The newsletter concentrates on the analyses of tricky points that arise in applying tax legislation to specific situations or in interpreting various arguments issued by the Inland Revenue. The editors of 'Taxline' plan to provide future issues with a supplementary information sheet that shall provide references to material published in each issue.

EFT: secure in the system
Article Abstract:
Banks have installed elaborate security measures to safeguard the electronic funds transfer (EFT) systems they now supply to corporate treasurers. Users of such EFT systems, with proper use of passwords and identification codes, are assured of an adequate level of security. Users may consider dedicating a single personal computer (PC), preferably a portable, for EFT operations, as physical security is simply a matter of logging out of the system and locking it securely. Additional security measures should be considered if the PC is connected to a network.
