National Grid weighs up Energis float
Article Abstract:
National Grid could carry out a stock flotation of Energis, its telecommunications subsidiary. Greig Middleton has valued Energis at 800 million pounds sterling. Energis aims to make a profit of 36 million pounds for 2001, with losses of nearly 400 million pounds prior to that date. A demerger is also a possibility and would mean that stockholders would be given Energis stocks in relation to their stakes in National Grid.
