The A-Z of buying shares
Article Abstract:
There are a number of stock market terms such as managed funds, which are spread over a range of holdings with a minimum of three asset classes. Margin trading involves trading using brokers' loan facilities. Net worth is another term for equity, or the difference between assets and liabilities. New issues are stocks issued by companies joining the stock market. They can be sold through placings, which can also involve existing stocks. Pump and dump involves pushing up stock prices through rumors in order to sell shares at a high price.

Share and share not alike
Article Abstract:
There are different types of shares such as ordinary shares and preference shares. Holders of preference shares have priority over dividends and repayment should the company collapse. Shares are also classified by sector which makes it easier to compare performances of shares in the same sector. Shares can also be classified in terms of the way they are affected by business cycles, and cyclical shares are more affected, while defensive shares tend to be less affected.
