The battle for privatisation
Article Abstract:
Foreign investors, eager to grab stakes in Asian corporations, are dismayed at the reluctance of the region to reform its closed state policy, especially in regards to privatization. Although there have been successful recent privatizations, Asian resistance remains strong, based on the vested interests of many people in Asia, including workers and politicians.
