The genome and transcriptomes of the anti-tumor agent Clostridium novyi-NT
Article Abstract:
The sequence of the Clostridium novyi-NT genome and the transcriptions of its vegetative and spore forms are analyzed in order to gain insight into the pathology of human clostridial diseases and understand how clostridia function as anti-neoplastic agents. The analysis has shown that Clostridium novyi-NT spores have contained mRNA and that the spore transcripts are distinct from those in vegetative forms of the bacterium.
