The network myth
Article Abstract:
The Accounting firms' network operates under one brand which is locally dominated wherein lies their strength, but the energy of these networks is dramatically undermined due to globalization. It is argued that the global network itself is a myth, therefore, need to be aware of the responsibility for the integrity and professional skill of people in other parts of the world, and the best way to respond to the opportunity is through international network.

Article Abstract:
The annual survey of the auditor fees earned from the FTSE 100 has showed a modest 5% increase, whereas in 2005 it showed a dramatic 22% increase in statutory audit revenues for the Big Four accountancy firms. The majority of the FTSE 100 has completed the first year of transition to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and has produced their first full IFRS accounts.

Going public with partner profits
Article Abstract:
A table listing the profits disclosed by 20 of the Top 60 accountancy firms of UK for distribution among the partners is published. No definite conclusion could be made from the list since profitability measures vary widely and the differing entity structures employed across the top firms add an extra layer of confusion.
