The parallel universe
Article Abstract:
The prices of a wide range of goods are lower in the Far East and the US than in the United Kingdom, and this applies to cars, designer clothing and perfumes. Parallel trading involves importing goods to sell in the UK at lower prices than usual. The legality of this practice is related to trade mark law. Parallel trading is allowed if goods are imported from outside the European Economic Area, and brand owners allow goods to be sold in this area. This is a complex area, where specialist legal advice is needed.

Cooking up a storm at Donatantonio
Article Abstract:
Donatantonio is benefiting from an increase in demand for Mediterranean food in the UK. The company imports food which is sold to major manufacturers and wholesale caterers. The company aims to invest in a new site using internal resources and a share placing to fund the expansion. Cost savings can be made from testing products in house when facilities have been improved. The company should continue to see earnings growth and has long-term relationships with major manufacturers.
